Ministries of First Lutheran Church
Sometimes we need a small circle of
companions striving to follow Jesus' way. At First Lutheran Church we
have many opportunities for persons of any age to find your companion.
First Lutheran Church encourages all members of the congregation to
join a small group and to meet others in a small group setting. Groups
at First Lutheran Church are designed to meet the needs of all members
of the congregation:
Women's Groups
First Lutheran Church Women (FLCW)
have monthly events and programs.
Hope Circle
Meets the second Tuesday of the month, at 1:30 pm, usually at church.
Berean Circle
Meets the second Tuesday of the month, at 10:00am, usually at church.
Stewardship Sewing -
This group meets at 10:00 am Tuesday. It meets the 3rd and 4th Tuesdays
of each month (sometimes the 5th Tuesday). Newcomers are welcome!
Please bring a sack lunch.
Bible Studies
An Adult Bible Study group meets 9:00am Wednesdays, September to June.
There is an informal prayer breakfast and Bible study in the church
Fireside Room at 7:15 am Thursdays -- for men and women.
Men's Groups
Lutheran Men in Mission is a monthly
evening fellowship and meal gathering of men for care and support with
a program of interest to all. Various projects of the congregation are
supported through the work of the men.
Music Ministry
Music is important in the life of the
congregation. The purpose of the Music Ministry at First Lutheran
Church is to praise God with a Joyful Noise! All are encouraged to
participate in the music of worship in some way, either in the music
groups or in special music opportunities and especially with the
congregational singing! Contact music director, Laurie Drage, for
more information… dragesL@gmail.com

wrists and a sense of rhythm to play bells. There are immediate

Ensemble
Ensemble is an instrumental group that plays on alternate Sundays. The
ensemble group typically consists of keyboard or piano, cello, guitars
and other instruments. In addition to performing at Sunday services,
the group also performs at special events in the church and community.
