A simple visit to a Sunday worship service can give you a flavor of the life of the congregation. You will be welcomed with no obligation or pressure.
If you stay for fellowship hour after worship you can share in some treats and meet a few folks of the congregation.
If you feel called to further participation, there are many ways to get involved whether it be in a service project, singing in the choir, helping out with Sunday School, joining a Bible study, and more.
After a time, you might become interested in knowing more about the church. The pastor is happy to talk with you or can share reading material about the Christian church and our Lutheran tradition, about the Christian church and our Lutheran tradition, if that is what would be helpful. Often the pastor leads a short class to introduce newcomers to the beliefs and practices of the church.
Should you decide to affiliate with the congregation, the basic membership is through Holy Baptism. The pastor will guide you into the meaning of Baptism, Holy Commuunion, and other aspects of the life of the congregation so that you will know what is necessary and helpful to fully participate in Christ's church. Other ways to membership are through transfer, or affirmation of faith. The pastor can help you with this.
We pray that the Holy Spirit guide you as you respond to his promptings to know more about Jesus Christ and his church.
